1. The entrant must live, or be professionally based, in the UK.
2. Artists may submit up to 3 works.
3. A non-refundable entry fee of £20 per work and £10 per student work must be paid at the time of submission and handed in with a completed submission form (either at a regional location or at Goodwood).
4. All 2 dimensional work is acceptable with the exception of photographic prints and reproductions.
5. The work must be new or recent (preferably executed in the last 3 years) and have not been previously exhibited.
6. Must be the original work of the artist named on the registration form.
7. Framing: It is strongly recommended that works are securely framed (particularly works on paper) for their own safety in handling and storage. (No metal or clip frames will be accepted).
8. FIXINGS ARE NOT REQUIRED. If selected, mirror plates will be supplied and used by the organisers. There should be NO projections of any kind whatsoever from the back of the frames to avoid damage to other works.
9. All works must be designed to hang on a wall.
10. The maximum size of works is 6ft x 6ft x 4inches (183 x 183 x 10cm) including the frame. Any work which projects beyond this template will be REJECTED.
11. Work made up of more than once piece, such as a diptych or triptych, must be no larger than the maximum size of 6ft x 6ft x 4 inches (183 x 183 x 10cm), in total, including the frame. It must be joined together in some way and entered as one
work, otherwise it will be deemed separate works and charged accordingly.
12. All works are for sale and Chichester Art Trust will retain 30% of the selling price. The price of each work must be set by the artist and indicated on the entry form. If the artist is VAT registered, this must be included in the price of the work. This price will be listed in the catalogue and on our website and will be deemed to include our commission.
13. The Chichester Art Trust reserve the right to photograph and reproduce any art for promotional purposes in association with the exhibition (at no fee).
14. Artists are STRONGLY ADVISED to take out their own commercial insurance to cover their work
in transit (two-way), in storage, throughout the
selection period and, if selected, during the exhibition itself, and if a prize winner, whilst in
London at the Arts Club. The Chichester Art Trust will take all care and accept no responsibility for any damage or loss to any artwork.
15. All work must be available to the Chichester
Art Trust until after the 1st December 2008.
